Jimmy Bewley isn’t your average trademark and ethics lawyer. His experience with legal advertising began with marketing when cj Advertising was founded back in 1994. cj is a Nashville-based advertising agency serving personal injury law firms in more than 40 markets. To further his knowledge of the “legal” aspect of legal advertising, he earned his Juris Doctor from Nashville School of Law in 2007, and he has served as cj’s in-house General Counsel ever since.

Jimmy’s marketing background and knowledge of the law help shape his approach to advertising ethics. That’s why he’s focused on what law firms CAN do while advertising—rather than what they can’t. And his years of experience with state bar rules across the United States help legal brands create ethical, aggressive, and effective marketing strategies.

Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Jimmy is an avid runner, hiker, and self-proclaimed explorer. He chooses mountains over beaches, beer over wine, and family over everything. He’s married to the love of his life, Tabby Bewley, a professor at Belmont University. Their two daughters, Jessi and Jenni, are building their own lives and finding their own success stories, but are never too far from home.
